The Border Green Energy Team

(BGET) provides hands-on appropriate

technology training and financial support to

village innovators in ethnic minority areas

on both sides of the Thai/Burma border.

With the vision of powering a brighter 21st

century, the Solar Electric Light Fund

(SELF) brings solar power and modern

communications to rural villages in the

developing world -- for enhancements in

health, education, and economic well-being.

Palang Thai is a Thailand-based non-profit

organization that works to ensure that the

transformations that occur in the region's

energy sector are economically rational, and

that they augment, rather than undermine,

social and environmental justice and

sustainability

Founded in 1985, TRC Power is a

commercial electrical and solar construction

and engineering company operating

primarily in Maryland and Pennsylvania.

Solar Energy International (SEI)  is a

USA non-profit organization offering online

courses and hands-on workshops in solar,

wind and water power and natural building

technologies in 22 locations worldwide.

Love Everybody is a nonprofit

organization founded by Grammy

Award-nominee Big Kenny (Kenny Alphin)

of the country music duo Big & Rich.

Walt Ratterman provided solar electric

power during their trip to Akon, Sudan.

Light Up The World will improve the quality of life for 1.6 billion people in the developing world without access to electricity using LED lighting and renewable energy solutions.

Green Empowerment, a non profit 501

(c)(3) organization, promotes

community-based renewable energy, potable water delivery, and related watershed restoration internationally to generate social and environmental progress.

Walt Ratterman of SunEPI serves as VP for

Knightsbridge Int'l. The missions of KBI

and SunEPI complement each other -

particularly when SunEPI is working on

providing renewable energy for health

centers. Wherever we can, we combine

renewable energy projects with humanitarian

efforts.

SunEPI works through BGET to implement

our work on the Thai/Burma border.

BGET was founded in 2004 by Walt

Ratterman and Chris Greacen. BGET is

essential in the successful completion of the

medical deliveries and renewable projects

for the people of Burma.

SELF does an amazing amount of

renewable energy projects, focusing in large

part on Africa. SunEPI works with SELF on

these projects by providing consulting,

training, and implementation services.

Founded by Chris Greacen, Palang Thai

provides constant support for SunEPI's efforts

in Thailand and on the Thai/Burma border.

TRC Power supports SunEPI by providing

electrical equipment supplies and services at

cost with no mark up.

SEI is a terrific source for all sorts of

training services in renewable energy.

SunEPI has a continuing relationship with

SEI, providing support for them in their

training programs in both the developing

world and the United States.

SunEPI's association with Big & Rich and

Love Everybody  started in 2007 with

the assistance that SunEPI provided to them

for their support of a community in South

Sudan. We expect that this support will be

ongoing.

Light up the World has chosen SunEPI to be their implementation partner in their Papua New Guinea Project. The seven year project is now underway, bringing over 1000 LED lighting systems to First Aid health posts spanning 4 provinces.
